Rutger den Uyl (b. 1989) was born and raised in Wassenaar. Even before you were officially allowed to work, you started buying and trading mopeds, learning the first tricks of the trade. In 2009, you moved to Amsterdam and joined the Amsterdam Student Association where you were surrounded by ambitious peers, some of whom have since become business partners. While studying Management, Economics and Law at the Hogeschool Van Amsterdam, you took your first steps into the field of real estate. The dynamic housing market, personal contact with clients and the challenges that arise from it are the facets that greatly appeal to you in this profession.
After gaining several years of experience at several reputable brokerage firms and doing several specialty courses to sharpen his knowledge, he saw many opportunities for improvement and it was time to go his own way. Since then, Den Uyl Real Estate has been active in the Amsterdam and The Hague real estate market particularly in the purchase and sale and purchase and rental of residential and commercial real estate. He has now been active in the profession for over 10 years and several colleagues enjoy working for his firm. Every day remains a delightful challenge for him to achieve optimal results with his clients. Personal service, reliability and flexibility are core values to achieve this. Merel Zoet (1992) has been involved in the background of Den Uyl Real Estate from the very beginning. For 3 years now, she has been full-time combining her background of 17 years of work experience in the media world with personal service in real estate. Rutger and Merel know each other inside out, inspire each other, complement each other well and are well matched. Together they are working 24/7 on their dream, with a clear vision, to make as many people as possible genuinely happy, to be able to give the maximum and to grow together.
The quality, honesty and flexibility is what Merel appreciates most about the company. In doing so, we do not focus on the short term, but put ourselves in the customer’s shoes and give sincere advice when the deal is not as good as it seems. Merel focuses primarily on the rental market, back office and media expressions, but she supports Rutger all-round in various areas so that he can fully focus on the areas he is strongest in.
